I developed the visual identity and creative direction for DOTGOV, a gallery show at The Miller Institute of Contemporary Art in 2018.

DOTGOV DOTGOV DOTGOV DOTGOV DOTGOV  DOTGOV  DOTGOV  DOTGOV  DOTGOV  DOTGOV

INFO The visual identity was influenced by an essay written by art theorist, Hito Steyerl, In Free Fall: A Thought Experiment on Vertical Perspective. In the essay, Steyerl writes about the power of the vertical and its creation of a new perspective of overview and surveillance for a distanced, superior spectator. Connecting Steyerl’s ideas about verticality to the title of the show, DOTGOV’s visual identity is based on surveillance and the one-way remote controlled gaze.

I produced deliverables including: posters, postcards, artist catalogues, digital/social media content, banners, and vinyl signage.
